Nephrology

The newly built Nephrology department at India Kidney Hospital operates under the supervision of an experienced nephrologist. It is well-equipped with eight bicarbonate dialysis machines, providing 24/7 care that meets DOQI recommended standards for dialysis. Additionally, the department offers a wide range of comprehensive, high-quality services.

Kidney Transplantation

Every year, organ and tissue donations save numerous lives in India. At India Kidney Hospital, we evaluate all patients for transplantation. However, we also inform those who are unsuitable for kidney transplantation for any reason. It is important to note that kidney transplants carry certain risks; for example, donors may experience strokes, bleeding, blood clots, heart attacks, infections, pneumonia, or other complications. Therefore, we prioritize intensive care during the transplant process.

Dialysis

The kidneys, two bean-shaped organs located on either side of the spine, play a crucial role in removing waste from the body, regulating blood pressure, and maintaining bone strength. A nephrologist recommends dialysis when both kidneys cease to function. Patients with chronic kidney disease often require dialysis and may eventually need a kidney transplant.

Home Dialysis Treatment

If you require dialysis, you have three main options: Intermittent Hemodialysis (IHD), Peritoneal Dialysis (PD), and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT). While you can choose any of these approaches, many experts agree that home dialysis, whether peritoneal or hemodialysis, is the best option for treating kidney failure. With home dialysis, you can lead a full and active life. At Kidney Total Care India, we provide affordable home dialysis treatment options in India.
